Jul 28, 2020 Deleting apps on the Mac isn't as obvious as you might think. Even if it is a little obscure, at least it's not easy to accidentally delete an app. With a Mac, you have several options when it comes to uninstalling applications. Maybe you forgot to sign out of your Apple ID before you sold or traded in an old iPhone. Good news: You don’t need to sign out on the device itself. You can remove a device from your Apple ID remotely. It’s a pretty simple process, and you can do it all from your iPhone. Open the Settings app. Tap on your name. Open the App Store.; Tap on your profile photo in the upper right. This is the area in which you update apps in iOS 13. You can also delete apps here, simply by swiping to the left and tapping.
If you’re smart — you keep an iCloud backup for your devices. Because you never know when you might need an online copy of all the information on your iPhone or iPad that’s automatically updated to your iCloud daily.
If you’re smart and efficient — you take care to kick the old backups out from time to time, so that your iCloud storage is always up to every sync and backup job you expect it to perform. Because only as long as there’s enough space in your iCloud storage your content will get updated automatically when your device is locked, turned on, and connected to a power source and a WiFi network.
As exciting and reliable as iCloud backups are, it’s better that you understand exactly what is being backed up for you. You might be surprised to learn what information doesn’t get copied as part of the backup: things like your contacts, mail, notes, files you store in iCloud Drive or photos, if you have iCloud Photos turned on.
Don’t panic — that information is already set up to be stored in iCloud anyway. What your iPhone iCloud backup will include, though, is device settings, home screen and app organization, health data, SMS and MMS messages, ringtones, and your purchase history from Apple services — so that your music, movies, TV shows, apps, and books could be automatically re-downloaded when you restore from the backup.
How To View And Filter Your iCloud Backups On Mac
Since the free space you get from iCloud is limited to 5 GB — sooner or later you will have to decide how to manage iCloud storage between all the backups, photos, videos, and documents you want to store online. There are two options after you find your iCloud storage full: (1) buy more storage and keep all your backup info or (2) see if you can delete iCloud backup you might no longer need.
The reason to keep an online backup of your iPhone or iPad is that you can access it from anywhere within the reach of WiFi connection. This is extremely valuable in case you need to restore your device or set up a new one with your existing data, without having to manually configure everything from scratch.
On the other hand, the reason you’d want to delete a backup is that with time — as you go through life and devices — you’ll end up with tons of unnecessary clutter taking up limited iCloud storage space. So don’t feel particularly anxious when you delete old iPhone backups — simply go through your iCloud backup storage and remove anything you no longer need.

Want to know how to re-install the older version of an app on iPhone, because its new version has annoying bugs, or other factors? In this guide, two practical ways will be introduced to help you with how to downgrade an app easily.
Common iOS Tips & TricksiOS App TipsMusic & Podcast TipsOther iOS Tips
How can I install a previous version of an app on an iOS-device? Before iTunes 12.7 I managed my apps in iTunes and always had backups of previous app-versions. But now iTunes does not longer manage apps.
I need the option of rolling back/downgrade apps, because newer versions of apps may have insufficiencies I hadn’t in the previous versions. Examples for this are running apps that suddenly need login and online, popular call-services that turn into an unusable mess, or blown-up apps that need more resources than my iPhone has.
—— User from Discussion. Apple
To make an iOS app more popular and loved by its users, developers have always been working hard to release its new version. In it, they may fix the bugs existed in older versions, or add some new and funny features, or remove some redundant or unpopular functions, or more.
However, things happen occasionally. You may face some issues like apps keep crashing when using the newest version, probably it is with more annoying bugs, or the previous funny functions have been removed roughly, and so on. And now you just want to downgrade the app to the previous version. But how? Don’t worry, and there will be two practical methods introduced in the following to help you with how to downgrade an app on iPhone or iPad. Check them now.
Method 1. Downgrade An App on iPhone/iPad with iTunes
If you have ever synced your iPhone/iPad with iTunes, luckily, you can find the previously synced IPA files on the computer. So you can replace the current version with it and get the mission of iOS app downgrading. And you need to make sure your iTunes version is earlier than 12.7. Download antivirus for mac os. Since iTunes 12.7 update removes the built-in App Store browser, so iTunes does not support app management anymore.
And here are the detailed steps to downgrade an app on iPhone/iPad using iTunes 12.6 and earlier:
1. Locate the IPA File of the Previous Version.
By default, the previously synced IPA files would be saved on the computer:
On Mac: Go to /Users/<Username>/Music/iTunes/iTunes Media/Mobile Applications;
On Windows: Go to C:Users<Username>MusiciTunesiTunes MediaMobile Applications.
Find the IPA files that you want and save them in a particular folder, which we will need them later.
2. Install the Previous IPA with iTunes
Step 1. Open iTunes on your computer > Go to My Apps, and there you will see all purchased and synced apps.
Step 2. Click on the app icon that you would like to downgrade > Choose Get Info and you will see the app version number. If the version number is just what you plan to downgrade to, please jump to Step 5.
Step 3. If the version number is not what you need, click on the app > Choose Show in Finder/Windows Explore > In the folder, delete the existing IPA file > Then the IPA file will be moved to the Trash/Recycle Bin, please delete it from there, too.
Step 4. Now go back to the Apps tab in iTunes, right click on the app and choose Show in Finder/Explorer again. At this time, iTunes will ask you to locate the IPA file > Choose Locate and browse to the folder which has saved your old IPA file.
Step 5. Connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer > Click on the device tab > Choose Apps option.
Step 6. Next to the particular app that you would like to downgrade, there will be a Remove button > Choose the Remove button and then click on Apply.
Step 7. After that, you will see an Install button next to the app > Choose the Install button > Click on Apply button, and iTunes will start syncing > Just wait for its finishing, and then your old version of the app will get back on your iPhone iPad.
